October's Photography Competition Winner
We had so many wonderful entries into October’s Photography Competition. With the theme Monochrome we wanted to see the black, white and greyscale captures that you all had to offer. We received architectural landmarks, animals, street photography and shots of stretching landscapes.
The key to this month’s competition was the ability to capture an amazing photo which once changed to monochrome would still be striking exhibiting depth, texture and character. You can see all of this month’s fantastic entries in our Facebook gallery.
Month on Month our judges are given the hard task of picking just 10 captures from all of the wonderful entries which we then countdown to reveal the winner.
Winner
A huge congratulations to this month’s competition winner Naf Selmani with his entry ‘Travellers waiting for the train at Baker Street underground station in London’, our judges loved the feel and perception of this shot, and the striking nature you managed to portray through black and white. A great capture of London!
Runner-up
A massive congratulations goes to John Cuthbert who is runner-up in this month’s competition with his entry “Old Harry Rocks Dorset”. Our judges loved the way you captured the sunlight in this shot and the way you retained the strength & textures of the view
